"Bolata" is a place that is not popular among tourists. Perhaps for this reason, the landmark has retained its charm to this day. One of the largest migratory bird routes from all over Europe, called Via Pontica, passes over Bolata.
There are high and steep rocks in the area with caves sunk in them and in some places the color of the rocks turns red. Remains of an ancient settlement dating back to 400 BC have been found in these caves. The Maltese Cross was also found there, which testifies to our trade with Genoa and Venice during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom.
